Long-billed Plover (Adult) Comment : Often observed in sandbanks and sand gravels of rivers, where the species is difficult to find because of its protective coloring especially when it squats down. The species has no distinct white line separating grey-brown crown from black band across forehead; Little Ringed Plover has a distinctive white line.
