A commonresident, Long-billed Plover can be seen throughout the year. It resemblesLittle Ringed Plover, but the bird is larger with a longer bill; itseye-rings are thinner and not conspicuous|identification marks from LittleRinged Plover. While Little Ringed Plover has no wing bars, the species hasfaint wing bars in flight|another identification mark. The bird is usuallyobserved alone or in a small flock of several birds, but on rare occasionsin a flock of several dozen.
