| Winter visitor in the Asakawa River basin.Observation records are mainly for the period between the beginning ofDecember to the beginning of April next year. In the beginning of spring,small flocks are seen pecking at cherry blossom buds. Like other finches,Eurasian Bullfinch has very short and thick bills. Male: Black cap and redcheek and throat are diagnostic. Grey above and below with black wings andtail. Female: Dark brown above and below with grey nape. | ||||
