| A common resident in Asakawa River Basin that canbe seen all year round. According to the records of our monthly bird countbeing conducted in 20 Asakawa River Basin sites, the bird ranks second toTree Sparrow in sighting numbers. Sighting numbers seem to increase inwinter when the bird gathers in crowds. Male is greenish brown with greenishhead and dark lore, while Female’s head is grey-brown and the whole plumageis of a lighter colour. Call note is “Kiriri, Kororo”, and song “djeeen,djuweee or dzweee” is heard during breeding period. A bright yellow band | ||||
