Winter Visitor
Inhabits increeping pine zone of high mountain district and breeds there in summer. Inwinter, the bird can be observed in piedmont flat, too.  Most of ourobservation records in Asakawa River basin are in winter.  The size is aboutthat of sparrow with inconspicuous somber colour; the species may easily beoverlooked.
