Common wintervisitor to Asakawa River basin. Conspicuous with its series of whistlesfollowed by tac-tac notes perching on antenna of house or fence posts. Thespecies usually visits around October and leaves in April in Asakawa Riverbasin. Both Male and Female have white wing spots like family crests onkimono.
