| Uncommonwintering bird at Asakawa River basin. The bird visits Komiya Park inHachioji City from around November. Worthy of its name, Malefs upper partsand tail are bright blue, Female is olive brown above with blue only ontail. Both sexes have whitish underparts with orange flanks. Immatures aresimilar except for Malefs blue-tinged colour around wing carpal. | ||||
