This specieswith its trademark orange bill is, together with Tree Sparrow andTurtle-Dove, one of the gmeasurement birdsh to indicate the size of birds.In the order of Eurasian Tree Sparrow (14.5cm), White-cheeked Starling(24cm), Oriental Turtle-Dove (33cm), and Large-billed Crow (56.5cm), thesize becomes larger, and available for use to indicate the size of bird;e.g. glarger than Tree Sparrow, but smaller than White-cheeked Starling.hUsually seen in flocks, which at times amount to several hundreds. Lookingup the bird with its wings wide open, it looks like a big flying triangleruler.
