The speciesmakes its habitat in upstream part of Asakawa River basin, but appears insuch urban park as Komiya Park in winter, too. Although its loud songs areheard along mountain streams from spring to early summer, it is ratherdifficult to find the somber brown bird who usually remains in dark placesfor the rest of year. A small bird with only 10 cm in statue, its songconsists of high-pitched rapid series of chatters and trills. We hear thelovely songs from mid-March in Asakawa River basin.
