Most common egret among pond herons and egrets at Asakawa River basin.Sometimes the species form flocks from several dozen to more than onehundred. Often seen mixed in with flocks of Great Egrets, when the sizedifference is apparent. Although the species sometimes form colonies, theyare not permanent and easily variable.
