| American Wigeon in flight resembles EurasianWigeon, but, with its large green patch from eye to hind neck, it looksconsiderably different from Eurasian Wigeon. Since some wigeons have greenpatches from eye to hind neck, to indicate some crossings. This species isbelieved to breed in North America, and passes the winter in the middle andsouthern parts of North America; although Japan is way far out of theirregular migratory flight paths, a very limited number visits here. | ||||
