Winter Visitor
A winter visitor to Asakawa River basin, but thenumber of sighting the species is limited. Like Falcated Teals, Gadwallsfly in Takatsuki Waterworks Lake every year in small flocks of several tomore than a dozen. Plumages of Male and Female are different, but, withgrey to grey-brown overall, Male’s plumage is as somber-coloured asFemale’s. At a closer look, however, the species may look chic in a way,hence hidden devotees of the bird.
